19-year old Gospel artist Kelontae Gavin's debut album The Higher Experience has turned out to be a success. The 11-track project debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Top Gospel Album Sales chart, No. 4 on Billboard's Combined Christian/Gospel Digital Albums Sales chart, No. 7 on Billboard's Combined Top Christian/Gospel Album Sales chart, and No. 94 on Billboard's All-Genre Top Album Sales chart.

The radio single "No Ordinary Worship" is also climbing its way up on multiple Gospel charts. The single jumps to No. 11 (up from No. 18) on the Gospel Digital Song Sales chart, to No. 14 (up from No. 20) on the Gospel Airplay chart, and to No. 16 (up from No. 25) on the Hot Gospel Songs hybrid chart, with over 109,000 on-demand streams only last week.

The Higher Experience was recorded live at Fresh Start Church outside Atlanta, Ga., and is an electrifying old school musical church service showcasing the singer's voice. The New York Times' pop critic Jon Caramanica hailed Gavin "a live-wire prodigy" for his stage presence and well-seasoned vocal gymnastics.

Gavin rose to fame in 2014 on the heels of a YouTube video of him singing the contemporary hymn "I Won't Complain," at his Summerville, S.C. high school cafeteria. The video has amassed over one million views since it was first published, and eventually led to Gavin's signing with Marquis Boone Enterprises (MBE) and Tyscot Records in 2016.
