Earlier this week, singer-songwriter Pat Barrett released his self-titled debut EP, Pat Barrett, available here. The four-song recording will be followed by the release of a full-length album coming later this year.

Barrett is releasing the new EP as the flagship artist on award-winning Christian artist Chris Tomlin's imprint record label, Bowyer & Bow. In 2016, Barrett and Tomlin released the children's book "Good Good Father" that the two co-wrote, inspired by Barrett and Tony Brown's hit song with the same name, a song Tomlin made known the world over when he recorded it for his album Never Lose Sight.

Prior to the release of the new EP, Barrett has been featured as one of the lead vocalists and songwriters for Atlanta-based worship band Housefires, which has released four albums to date with the most recent offering, We Say Yes, being released in 2017. It was Housefires that originally recorded "Good Good Father" two years ago.

Speaking about joining Tomlin's label, Barrett says, "When I think back on the first conversations Chris and I had about him starting an imprint label and the possibility of releasing my first ever solo record under it, I remember saying to myself, 'Wow! I can't imagine a scenario I'd be more excited about.'"

"As a worship leader and songwriter, Chris has been such an influential person in my life and to have him be a guiding voice as I take these next steps is really meaningful," Barrett continues. "My heart in all of this is that these songs would help all of us lift our eyes and connect (or reconnect) with God in a way that impacts our real, everyday lives."

Coinciding with the release of his new EP, Barrett is hitting the road with Christ Tomlin on his "Worship Night in America" tour which kicked off last week on Good Friday in Nashville. During the tour, which wraps on May 12 in Little Rock, Ark., Barrett will be sharing the stage with fellow artists such as Matt Maher, Kim Walker-Smith, Christine D'Clario, and Tauren Wells.
