On Friday, multiple Grammy-nominated rapper Snoop Dogg announced the release of his first ever gospel album, Bible of Love. The new 32-track double album is slated for release on March 16 and features Dogg along with individual performances by many acclaimed gospel artists such as The Clark Sisters, Tye Tribbett, Faith Evans, B. Slade, and Rance Allen, with more to be announced.

Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr., says it was his late grandmother Dorothy Tate that first introduced him to gospel music and inspired him to finally release a gospel album.

He says about the project, "I am blessed to have so many legendary friends join me on this journey. As the country is in one of its heaviest times and is so divided, I wanted to make an album that spreads love and unity around the world. That's what I was taught, so that's all I know. Real love."

Bible of Love is the first album to release from All The Time Entertainment, a label Snoop Dogg created to provide more opportunities for gospel music artists.

On Thursday, Dogg became the first secular artist to headline the 19th Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration at Bethel University's Benson Great Hall just outside Minneapolis, an event which will be broadcast on BET tonight, Feb. 3, at 11 p.m. ET and on BET HER tomorrow, Feb. 4 at 8 a.m. ET.

According to the Bethel Clarion, Dogg said at the event, "Thank y'all for having me on y'all [sic] campus. It's my first time but it won't be my last time." Speaking about the upcoming album, Dogg said, "The record's all about love from start to finish. That's the way you change the world, by putting love in it."

Additional tracks and visuals will be released with pre-orders ahead of the album's March 16 release. Bible of Love is available for pre-order now at Amazon, Apple Music, and iTunes.
