The Beatles unreleased songs to drop on iTunes

The Beatles unheard and rare songs are planned to be released on iTunes by Apple Records. The release of 59 tracks is expected to drop on Tuesday when they should be available for download.

Taylor Swift turns 24 today, congratulations!

Apples Records was launched by The Beatles in 1968 as the new outlet for their own recordings.

The songs that are to be released contain versions of the band's smash hit "She Loves You," "There's a Place, "A Taste of Honey." Rare releases to be dropped will include live performances the band recorded for BBC radio, as well as demos and outtakes.

European Union law protects the copyrights for up to 70 years after the songs are recorded and get officially released. If not, then the copyright lasts up to 50 years, which would mean that The Beatles rare session tapes for the debut release 'Please Please Me,' from 1963 would not be protected.

In theory, that would mean that if the label wouldn't release the recordings before the end of 2013, other records labels could release them instead and get the profit.

By releasing the rare recordings from the legendary band, the label will get the copyrights for the songs for another 20 years.

These kind of last-minute releases could soon become a trend due to maintain copyrights over outtakes and tracks from musicians from 1960s.

Sony was in the similar situation just last year, when they dropped Bob Dylan album titled 'The 50th Anniversary Collection' with the subtitle 'The Copyright Extension Collection Vol 1.'

Dylan's album featured live and studio never-before released recordings from years 1962 and 1963 as well as his early TV performances and various versions of Dylan's "Blowing in the Wind."
