Winter Olympics 2014 Live Stream on NBC: How to Watch Sochi Olympic Games Online (TV Schedule, Start Time)
The 2014 Winter Olympics has officially burst out of the starting gate with the opening ceremony that took place on Friday. Certain events were already held on Feb. 6th and received coverage from NBC, starting at 8 p.m. ET.
The Opening Ceremony however started at 11:00 a.m. ET Friday, though NBC postponed its coverage until 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday to target a primetime audience. Details about how you can live stream the coverage throughout the Winter Olympics 2014 can be found below.
Mark Lazarus, chairman of NBC Sports Group, gave a response to questioners wanting to know why there was no live coverage of the event: "We want to put context to it, with the full pageantry it deserves....We are looking to maximize the viewing experience for our audience."
Highlights coverage will be hosted on NBC by Matt Lauer and Meredith Veira.
NBC networks will provide full coverage of the Sochi, Winter Olympics. Several NBC subsidiaries will be involved in the coverage, including CNBC, MSNBC, the NBC Sports Network and NBCOlympics.com.
A notable investment in size for its supporters, the Sochi Games will be the most expensive Winter Games in the history of the Olympics. Even more surprising, they will cost more in total than all of the previous Winter Olympic Games combined.
