9/11 Conspiracy Theorist Sneaks Past Security Uninterrupted at Super Bowl MVP's Post Game Interview

In a post Super Bowl news conference, a man making claims of a 9/11 conspiracy, interrupted Most Valuable Player Malcom Smith on live television.

Security was at an all time high in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday for the Super Bowl as the Seattle Seahawks celebrated their victory over the Broncos. Somehow a man was able to make his way through to interrupt Smith while he was in the middle of answering questions for news reporters.

The man, who grabbed a microphone and proclaimed, "Investigate 9/11 ... 9/11 was perpetrated by people in our own government," was identified as Matthew Mills, a 30-year-old from Brooklyn.

Mills was arrested and charged with trespassing and then released, said trooper Jeff Flynn of the New Jersey State Police to NJ.com.

Smith seemed a little surprised by the unexpected interruption and maintained his composure throughout the ordeal. Once Mills was removed, the Super Bowl MVP charmingly asked everyone if they were okay. He then put the distraction behind him and moved forward with his interview.

New Jersey State Police Capt. Stephen Jones told NJ.com that Mills was arrested for trespassing.

Mills appeared to have a credential around his neck, something an official grabbed to examine after he was rushed off the podium. Police spokesman Jones said Mills' media affiliation was unknown as of late Sunday night.

Flynn told NJ.com that there were 10 arrests as of midnight with none considered serious.

This all occurred on live television, and immediately people took to social media. Some commentators agreed with the intruder and others were stunned that something like this was possible in such a secure press conference.

"Super Bowl security at the Malcolm Smith press conference giving the same effort as the Broncos tonight," someone tweeted. Another added, "How Did the 9/11 Truther Sneak into Malcolm Smith's Super Bowl Press Conference?"
