'A to Z' Premiere Date Live Stream, Spoilers, NBC Start Time, Cast News: Premieres Episode 1 “A is for Acquantances,” Oct. 2

'A to Z', a new television series that chronicles the romantic relationship of two people named Andrew and Zelda, is all set to premiere on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 9.30 pm on NBC. The premiere episode, narrated by 'Sons of Anarchy' star Katey Sagal, is entitled "A is for Acquaintances."

A press release issued by NBC reads, "Is it true love forever or just a detour in destiny when Andrew and Zelda meet in the series premiere?"

The release continues, "This is the A-to-Z story of Andrew (Ben Feldman) and Zelda (Cristin Milioti) -- a pair that almost wasn't -- and all that happened from the day they met. When a computer glitch sends her a total mismatch, she's asked to come in for an interview at the internet dating site where Andrew works, and this is where it all begins. Andrew and Zelda meet for the first time and despite their differences, sparks fly. She thinks it is chance. He thinks it is fate and is convinced she's the shimmering girl in the silver dress he saw several years earlier."

In addition to Feldman and Milioti, the other stars in the show are Henry Zebrowski as Stu, Christina Kirk as Lydia, Lenora Crichlow as Stephie, Hong Chau as Lora and Parvesh Cheena as Dinesh.

Beyond that, showrunner Rashida Jones was asked if the plotline is "destined for failure" considering the fact that the "A to Z" in the title suggests a beginning as well as an end. She said, "There will be an ending in terms of an ending, meaning a change."

Meanwhile, the executive producers of the show explained, "Relationships change all the time whether it means relationships end, they go to the next level, there's moving, there's kids, there's other people ... Our hope is that to put that ticking clock on it will help people to invest in whatever that moment is, whatever that change is."
