ABC's "Lucky 7" Series Premiere Tuesday, September 24, 2013: Solid Cast, Stale Plot? [VIDEO] [WATCH ONLINE] [TRAILER]

ABC is premiering their new sitcom "Lucky 7" tonight and critics are so far undecided on whether the show will pan out. The cast is strong in the trailer and the plot is solid, but will there be enough twists and turns to keep the audience tuned in throughout the season? The story starts when 7 gas station attendants in Queens win a ton of money in a lottery. The main problem they struggle with in the premiere of the show is dealing with all of the problems that the money causes, which is not a new concept at all.

The show is structured so that the viewer is introduced to the characters' backstories one at a time. These stories include an ex con with major debt, a housewife with marital problems, and a family man with three expensive kids. These kind of unoriginal backstories could be a major problem with the show down the road as the excitement of the huge lottery win in the premiere wears off.

A major concern that critics have is whether or not the audience will be able to keep up with the ever-changing plot lines and character jumps.
