Adam Levine and Lady Gaga Twitter Feud: Taking the Subtweet to a New Level [VIDEO]
The Adam Levine and Lady Gaga Twitter feud is starting to get ridiculous. Adam Levine started the battle on Friday when he tweeted "Ugh... recycling old art for a younger generation doesn't make you an artist. It makes you an art teacher." Even though it was directed at no one in particular, everyone knew that he meant it as a jab at pop artist Lady Gaga and her new album "Artpop." Keep in mind this is coming from the guy who wrote deep pieces of artwork such as "Moves Like Jagger."
Gaga did not take kindly to Levine's attack and came back with her own subtweet. She tweeted, "Uh oh guys the art police is here. 'Applause' is a very meaningful song to me, because it addresses what many think of 'celebrities' today, that we 'do it' for the attention. But some of us are 'artists' in this group called 'celebrity,' & what we create doesn't live on unless theres an audience to remember it. So I may need your attention at first, so I can sing you my song. But it's the "applause" after that let me know if I've entertained you."
Levine ended the exchange with a tweet that read, "I unabashedly love writing and performing pop music for both myself AND everyone around me. That's it. It doesn't need any extra sauce."
Do you think this subtweet exchange was necessary? Is it just a cat fight between celebrities?
