Adam Levine Named People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive"
Though talk show host Wendy Williams refers to him as a "tiny little man," People magazine has named Maroon 5 front man and The Voice judge, Adam Levine the "Sexiest Man Alive."
Levine, who heard the news on the reality singing competition was a little embarrassed and says though he had hoped for more musical recognition when he was younger gladly accepts the honor.
"As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn't really think that this was on the table," the singer told the magazine. "I was just amazed and stunned and it almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren't, so that's cool."
Wendy Williams isn't the only one upset about Levine taking home the title.
"So sorry. Nothing sexy about a man-o-rexic, serial model-dater," Angela Olsen posted on Facebook. "Oh, did I mention his nasal, whiny voice? He is the #Antisexy."
Critic Robin Long took the backlash one step further: "If scrawny body, giraffe-necked, 2-day stubble guys with hair growth creeping down their necks are 'in,' then yes, I can see why People chose this guy,"
Now Levine joins the ranks of some of the most attractive [according to People] entertainers in the world such as Johnny Depp, Denzel Washington, Brad Pitt and most recently Channing Tatum.
