There's good news surrounding the latest Ridley Scott creation, "Alien Covenant," as the release date will reportedly pushed up by three months.

The studio, 20^th Century Fox, posted a tweet on the "Alien Covenant" poster, along with the release date for May 19 next year. The movie was earlier reported to premiere on Aug. 4, 2017.

Polygon said that the movie will be competing with "Baywatch" movie and "Annabelle 2." There's also the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul" and "The Nut Job" on that same day.

In related news, Forbes said on its face, there's no reason why "Alien: Covenant" should leave behind the Aug. 4 release date considering that movies shown in the first week of that month historically earned very well in the box-office since it's been billed as the "last big movie of the summer."

Among the movies that made a killing in the box-office were "The Fugitive," "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," "Guardians of the Galaxy," and the latest, the "Suicide Squad."

What could be "Alien: Covenant's" loss could be "Valerian: The City of a Thousand Planets'" gain if the latter will take over the former's Aug. 4 slot.

Previous news reports hinted of the plot for "Alien: Covenant," which is touted to be the second of the prequel trilogy started by "Prometheus."

"Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy," the synopsis said." "The crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world - whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition."
