'Alien: Isolation VR' News: Game Gets VR Version, Here Are The Details

With the rise of virtual reality in the gaming realm, Sega's "Alien: Isolation" may have its virtual reality (VR) version, as per reports.

In his interview with MCV, as cited by IGN, Sega Europe Head Jurgen Post mentioned the studio's interest on creating a VR version of its hit game. He said that VR had caught the whole company's attention and they had lot of VR kits in the office and people were playing with it.

Post also said that they were exploring ways to release games, adding that they had not announced anything; though they were very close to making an announcement. With his statement, it is assumed that players are set to hear the studio confirm "Alien: Isolation" VR soon.

For Post, he would like to revive the fright "Alien: Isolation" gave them three years ago. In the same interview, he said that they had done the game about three years ago on Oculus Rift, and it whad been a demo that had been "bloody scary." He added that to bring that back to VR would be a dream and dreams could come true.

"VR will take time, but we will start releasing some titles just to learn,. It is a platform for the future," Post said.

According to VG247, it could be the perfect moment for Sega to resurrect the game in a more "nerve-wracking"approach, should it feature the game in its forthcoming VR announcement.

"Alien: Isolation" was initially released in 2014.
