Amazon Prime Air Delivery Trial News: Here’s How You Can Order

A clip of the Amazon Prime Air delivery trial was uploaded on YouTube and it pretty much gives the idea how the ordering would be like. Of course, it could just be a rendering so it might not be accurate.

Nevertheless, if one will just base on the video, the process would first start with the customer placing an order. Then that particular item will be packed at the Amazon warehouse (no robots here, sorry). The package will then be put on the conveyor belt that will be lifted by the drone.

That particular drone then will fly through a track until it leaves the compound. Through GPS, it will go to the address put by the customer in the order. Those who order will probably have a special marker on the ground where the drone will land. The package will be left behind on that marker.

According to TechCrunch, the first Amazon Prime Air delivery trial was made on Dec. 7. The location wasn't too far from the Amazon headquarters considering that the bag of popcorn arrived in just 13 minutes. But the marketing ploy is that all deliveries will arrive in half an hour.

There are other kinks that are not shown in the Amazon Prime Air delivery trial, like if there's a dog for instance or some ruffians shooting down the flying gadget. The company announced that there willb e no deliveries when the weather is not fair. Also no deliveries at night. Nevertheless, the potential is there.
