AMD Zen News: Seventh-Gen Chipset Confirmed To Launch At CES 2017

The latest news on the AMD Zen is that its seventh generation chip will reportedly be launched at the CES 2017.

One of the more anticipated features of this product is the "hooks," which allows users to upgrade without necessarily buying new PCs. For now, it's designed for HP and Lenovo.

This AMD Zen news, particularly the chipset being launched at the CES 2017 is not exactly a surprise considering that the company has hinted once before about introducing the Summit Ridge CPU early next year.

WCCFTech also added that there are already leaks about the AM4, which bolster the rumors about the new product coming out at the CES 2017. However, it quickly added that most of the leaked images were "entry-level and mid-range products." But the website still thinks that the X370 AM4 motherboard will start being distributed to vendors in December in time for the launch next year.

There are also factors that point to the launch of the new products. For instance, the latest AMD Zen news confirmed some discounts on the FX 8300, FX 6300 and FX 4300.

According to multiple news reports, the seventh generation AMD Zen to be launched at the CES 2017 is much more efficient considering that it will consume 30 percent less power than its predecessor. Its CPU speed is also bumped up by 14 percent. More importantly, the product is capable of running 4K video without losing latency.
