"American Horror Story: Coven" Season 3 Premiere Trailer with SPOILERS: Cast Returns for a Witchcraft Themed Season [TEASER] [LIVE ONLINE STREAMING]

"American Horror Story: Coven" returns for a third season with Ryan Murphy at the helm and many of the show's veterans remaining on the cast. The show will focus on the subject of witchcraft this year after already delving into a murder house in Los Angeles and an old mental illness hospital. Spoilers indicate that this season will push the boundaries set by "American Horror Story: Asylum" last season. Ryan Murphy sat down with OnTheRedCarpet.com for an interview about the season 3 premiere of "American Horror Story: Coven" and revealed a few spoilers. When asked if season 3 would be darker than season 2, he said, "I think I did it on purpose because last year it was about mental institutions and it was very dark and had to be. We told the truth about that and it was a very honored season but many of the actors said, 'Come on, can I just wear a dress and smoke a cigarette and say a joke now and again?' I always like to do the opposite. Next year, I'm sure it will be so dark that no one will watch it. I don't know."

Cast member Taissa Farmiga, who starred in season 1 but was absent in season 2, claims that "American Horror Story: Coven" season 3 is all about female empowerment. She said, "It's still dark and strange but it's a bit more humorous and fabulous and wicked. It's just going to be really fun. It's a bunch of wonderful female leads. We do have our couple of males coming in, but it's just a completely different season and it's about female empowerment and it's fun."
