‘American Horror Story’ Season 4 Episode 3 Spoilers - 'Edward Mordrake (Part 1)' Air Date

'American Horror Story: Freak Show' is well underway as fans are looking forward to watching the upcoming third episode on Wednesday, October 22. Episode 3, entitled "Edward Mordrake (Part 1)" falls perfectly around the spooky holiday, Halloween

According to the official synopsis, the Freaks will refuse to perform on Halloween due to an old carny superstition. Fans should note that some the characters on the show might be indecisive about whether or not the superstition should be upheld.

Beyond that, Jimmy will become infatuated by a woman that is pretending to be a fortune teller, and Ethel receives some news that changes her life.

Additional spoilers can be pulled from the title of the episode. Allegedly, Edward Mordrake actually existed, he was a man that lived in the 19th century, but had a rare congenital disorder.

Mordrake suffered from diprosopus, a condition that duplicates the features on the head. Apparently, Mordrake had two faces, one which he called his "demon face" as it would "whisper to him at night."

The story takes a slight turn for the worse as doctors at the time refused to operate on the Edward's face, unfortunately driving him to suicide at the age of 23.

Even though some people argue that Mordrake never existed, and merely lives by means of legend, the name is still in the official title of Episode 3 of 'American Horror Story: Freak Show'.

Since the fourth season revolves around the "Freak Show" it makes sense that the writers for the show would consider incorporating a character like this.

For now, there's not much to go by in terms of plot spoilers for "Edward Mordrake (Part 1)." However, a promotional sneak peek for the episode has been released.
