Andrew Peterson Announces 19th Annual "Behold The Lamb Of God" Christmas Tour
Award-winning recording artist, songwriter, filmmaker, and award-winning author Andrew Peterson is announcing the 19th Annual "Behold The Lamb Of God" tour, sponsored by International Justice Mission and The Rabbit Room. Logging multiple sold-out events since its inception in 2000, the Christmas tour has become a yearly tradition for Peterson and his band, as well as families and churches across the nation who look forward to the holiday season, and the retelling of the Christmas story through song.
"I just can't believe we still get to do this," Peterson says. "If you had told me back in 2000, I would have laughed. Playing these songs with such dear friends for so many years is a rare and profound blessing."
In 2018, the production will feature special guest Scott Mulvahill and artists Jill Phillips, Andy Gullahorn, Ben Shive, and Gabe Scott, kicking off in Houston, Texas, with back-to-back nights Nov. 28 and 29 before continuing traversing through nine states and wrapping up on Dec. 15 in Danbury, Conn.
For the 15th consecutive year, the "Behold The Lamb Of God" tour also stops at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium, where it is expected to sell out both its Dec. 9 and 19 events.
Peterson launched the "Behold The Lamb Of God" tour almost two decades ago to present a musical rendition of the Christmas story and to reinforce the true meaning of the season. In 2004, the tour's success led Peterson to record the award-winning album, Behold The Lamb Of God: The True Tall Tale Of The Coming Of Christ. In 2009, he released a two-disc project marking the 10th Anniversary of the tour, which included a remastered version of the 2004 CD and a live recording of the 2008 tour.
Tickets to the "Behold The Lamb Of God" tour is available now through Andrew-Peterson.com, with a full list of tour dates at the end of the article.
Earlier in the fall, Peterson will hit the road on "The Bible Tour," a worship experience featuring fellow artists Matt Maher, Natalie Grant, Daniel and Harvest Bashta, as well as Steven Malcolm. He is currently also working a new The Wingfeather Saga film to be revealed soon.
