Android 7.1 Nougat Features, Update Release Date: Google To Release New OS This October
It has been less than two months since Google released the latest update on its mobile operating system, the Android 7.0 Nougat, and recent reports suggest that the company is already bracing up for the release of the beta version of the Android 7.1 Nougat.
According to reports, Android 7.1 Nougat will be released by the end of October, with exclusivity for the Nexus 5X and 6P smartphones and the Pixel C tablet. Some reports also claim that other mobile devices that are pre-determined to support the new operating system will also get the 7.1 update two months from the October launch, which falls sometime in December.
Google teased the Android 7.1 Nougat during the "Made by Google" event last week, where the company unveiled some of its exciting features like the automatic uploading of data to the cloud and the instant chat support.
While the beta release allows developers to take a closer look at the Daydream VR platform, virtual reality is not the only interesting feature of the updated Nougat, as it also provides support for making customized shortcuts and image keyboard. The purpose of the new support for image keyboards is to allow users to insert a GIF image or sticker in various apps.
The beta release of the new operating system is especially designed for app developers through their Developer Preview program, and anyone has the opportunity to become part of hits arrangement between developers and Android.
The Android 7.1 Nougat is expected to be released before this month ends.
