Android KitKat 4.4.3 Release Date: Firmware Upgrade for Galaxy S4, Note 3, Nexus, HTC One
Google's Android KitKat 4.4.3 is already in the works but news on its official release date is still sketchy.
Android Police previously reported that the last press statement made on the upcoming version of KitKat was on April 19. This led many to believe - according to various web leaks - that the Cupertino tech giant will release the Android 4.4.3 some time in May 2014.
Rumors suggest that upgrades will include bug fixes that were not successfully addressed in the earlier versions of KitKat, as well as camera focus, unstable internet connections, VPN issues, and others.
The 4.4.3 version will be available on Google's collection of Nexus smartphones and tablets. Also included are Moto X, most probably Moto X2, HTC One, HTC One M8, and Sony Xperia Z, Gotta Be Mobile reports online.
Leaks from LLabTooFer, a known HTC developer, suggest that Samsung's new flagship smartphones will also carry Android KitKat 4.4.3. However, the roll out to KitKat 4.4.3 for the succeeding units of Samsung Galaxy S5 is still unlikely since Google Nexus line has not yet implemented the upgrade on their products.
Among the Galaxy devices that are candidates for the next updates are Galaxy Note 2 LTE GT-N7105, Galaxy S3 LTE GT-19305 and Galaxy Note 3 Neo SM-N750.
Others are expected to include firmware upgrade in June - Galaxy S4 Mini GT-19190, Galaxy S4 Mini LTE GT-19195, Galaxy Grand 2 SM-G7102, Galaxy Mega 5.8 GT-19152 and the Galaxy Mega 6.3 GT-12900.
