Android Nougat Update News: Nexus 6P And 5X Phones Going To Get December Update?
The Nexus 6P and 5X phones are reportedly getting an Android Nougat update by December, according to the news reports. Meanwhile, there might no truth to previous reports about the current software rollout for Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus.
According to the report, the 6P and 5X would be the first phones from Nexus that will be getting the update. Although with the release of the Google Pixel and Pixel XL, which will feature the Android Nougat update out of the box, earlier versions of the Nexus might not be getting the 7.1 upgrade.
Those who are using the two phones should get a prompt for an update over the air. If not, they can manually change the OS through the device's Settings.
Also, the OnePlus 3 will also get the Android Nougat update probably by December as well.
It's also coming to OnePlus 2 like what company founder Carl Pei told XDA Developers in a interview a fe days ago.
"We never promised the same cadence for the OnePlus 2, and it will get Nougat. It will get Nougat, and I think that's kind of delivering on what they originally bought into," he said.
Meanwhile, a Motorola representative has denied the Android Nougat update has already arrived on the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. The tweet from Moto India in response to a user question reads, "Sorry for any confusion, but Nougat is not yet released. When it is you will receive a notification on your phone."
Watch out for more Android Nougat update news which will be published here when they come along.
