Angie Miller Performs "I Surrender" on 'American Idol' Top 10 Show
The American Idol Top 10 episode airs Wednesday night. Tune in to watch performances by Angie Miller, Curtis Finch Jr., Devin Velez, Paul Jolley, Candace Glover, Kree Harrison, Janelle Arthur, Burnell Taylor, Devin Velez and Amber Holcombe.
As the show gets underway, Seacrest announces the judges. Lights cued, curtains drawn and...where's Nicki Minaj? American Idol is missing its diva.
After some lackluster performances from the first three contestants: Curtis Finch Jr. ("I Believe"/Fantasia Barrino), Janelle Arthur ("Gone"/Scotty McCreery), and Devin Velez ("Temporary Home"/Carrie Underwood) Angela "Angie" Miller graced the Idol stage looking "like a billion dollars" according to Minaj, in heels and a smoldering black leather dress.
Angie Miller basically looked like a cross between Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift, aka the most marketable woman in the business. .
After taking some pretty harsh advice from special guest coach and famed music producer Jimmy Iovine (basically reducing her performances to that of a beauty queen) Miller chose to performed "I Surrender" a song by Celine Dion and performed by Kelly Clarkson on season one.
With tonight's theme being "Music From Past Idols" it was obvious that Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood would be among obvious past alum to choose. Fearless and on fire Angie Miller faced the comparison head on and nailed it.
Angela Miller has been a hot streak ever since Hollywood week. Last Wednesday Angie took to the piano and performed Colton Dixon's "Never Gone". The fans, judges and even Colton Dixon were blown away, shouting out Angela Miller's performance on Twitter.
