It's been a while since American Idol crowned it Season 12 winner. It's been even longer since Angie Miller was booted from the Top 3. Though Angie's elimination came as a shock to many, the "You Set Me Free" singer made an impression on fans and industry shakers.

So what is the Beverly, Massachusetts product doing now?

Angie is currently on the American Idol Live summer tour with the other Season 12 finalists. Miller's also staying busy developing her craft.

"When I first got here, I did lots of writing," Angie says. "I've been writing with incredible people and making great songs."

Angie surprised Idol viewers performing one of her original songs "You Set Me" during Hollywood Week early in the season. She also covered Season 11 finalist Colton Dixon's original "Never Gone".

For both songs, Miller sat behind the piano. For some reason she has a flare for haunting melodies and slow moving piano melody.

Regardless of her success on Idol, Angie is still climbing up the industry ladder in search of her first artist deal.

"I have a publishing deal, but I'm not signed as an artist yet," Angie told Cambio. "I hope that soon after the tour or maybe even during the tour, I get signed."

Angie hopes to have a full album to work on in the near future, a tour to match "Throw some acting in there! I want to do so much," Miller told Cambio.
