Apple AirPods Shipping News: Apple Confirms Preordered Airpods Already Shipped

Customers who preordered a pair of Apple AirPods when the product sales went live last week were recently informed that their orders had already been shipped.

Early buyers who placed orders within the first two hours since AirPods were out started receiving shipping confirmations via email last Saturday morning.

Following a month of delays, AirPods were finally up for grabs on December 13. Being Apple's first branded wireless headphone product, the release of AirPods was widely anticipated by many, and as expected, the initial supply of the hot product was depleted rapidly. This pushed back shipment estimates to four weeks just hours after its release.

As soon as Monday, the AirPods were also made available in Apple retail stores, mobile carrier outlets and authorized Apple resellers. While the exact store allotments remain unknown, it looks like the supplies will be just as quickly exhausted, considering the massive preorder demand.

Before the AirPods were made available last week, there had been speculations that Apple would miss the holiday shopping season due to issues with engineering and audio syncing. However, the tech giant assured fans that the AirPods was on track and would make it to the market before the end of the year.

This week, a production model of the hardware was unveiled, showing its unparalleled features. AirPods feature flawless syncing between each earbud, as well as deep software integration and touch controls.

Customers who received word that their orders had already been shipped can expect their products to arrive on December 21.
