What can fans expect from Apple at their October 22 product event Tuesday afternoon in San Francisco? Both the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 will be unveiled today. As far as specs go, expect the iPad 5 to come with an optimized A7 chip. Apple is also rumored to feature the same M7 co-processor as the iPad 5S. Having the A7 chip would also qualify the iPad 5 for and Touch ID like fingerprint sensors.

The price of the entry level iPad 5 is expected start at $499.

Expect both the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 to share the same November 1 release date.

If the alleged iPad Mini 2 photos that leaked online recently are any indication of design, it will be identical to the dimensions of its predecessor. If so, look for Apple to make improvements in the specs. Whether that means a Retina display, faster processor, I'm not sure but expect some new features. Rumors of a gold color option is also circulating.

Apple fans will also get their first glimpse of the upgraded 2013 Macbook Pro with Retina display. The new 2013 Macbook Pro will feature the newest chips from Intel ["Haswell'] while also trying out Intel's new GPU called "Iris." The 15 GB Macbook Pro is also expected to feature a 2-megapixel FaceTime camera that can also shoot Full HD video.

Along with a new 2013 Mac Pro, Apple fans are excited about the company's new operating system, OS Mavericks which was unveiled back in June. The new Tabbed Finder and Tags revolutionizes the way users can organize their files. Spaces allow users to swipe through different applications and even drag them across devices like Apple TV.

Safari is now much faster and less buggy than before. OS X Mavericks also makes a vast improvement to battery life.

Don't miss a minute of Apple's product event October 22 in San Francisico.
