Apple Introduces New iPad Air, Specs, Release Date, and Price All Revealed [MORE DETAILS INSIDE]

Today Apple introduced the fifth generation iPad, which is not the iPad 5, but the "iPad Air."

The iPad Air is full-sized and has been designed to resemble the iPad mini. The 9.7 inch iPad has the same thickness, side bezels, speaker grills, and aluminum unibody as the mini. The iPad Air weighs in at just 1 pound making it the lightest tablet on the market, hence its new name, "iPad Air."

iPad Air will come equipped with Apple's new A7 chip, which is the same processor used in the Iphone 5s, but unfortunately it doesn't come with Touch ID feature. However, it does feature the M7 Co-processor that will be used in its upcoming watch called the "iWatch."

Other specs include the revamped 5 megapixel camera enhanced with larger pixels like that of the iPhone 5s. The camera also has a slightly improved 1.2 megapixel front facing HD camera with 1080p HD video.

The iPad Air will also have faster Wi-Fi and more LTE bands on the cellular model, but both iPad Air Wi-Fi and cellular models will be available in three color options, white with silver and space grey with black.

The iPad Air will release Friday, November 1 starting at $499. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
