Apple iPad Sales Booming Going into Holiday Season 2013 Shares CEO Tim Cook
Apple CEO Tim Cook had good news for his company on a Monday earnings sharing the high tablet sales heading into the holiday season 2013.
"It's going to be an iPad Christmas," Cook said. He also added that the new iPad Air product announcement was Apple's largest iPad launch to date.
"The tablet market is huge," Cook said, reporting that the Apple iPad share in the education market was 94 percent. "Which is sort of unheard of," Cook added gladly.
Apple brought in sales of 33 million iPhones and 14 million iPads in the quarter ending Sept. 30, even with the new 5c and 5s phones being released just 10 days before the quarter ended and the new iPads being announced after the quarters end.
Cook did say that they were having trouble keeping up with the supply of the demand for the new Apple products. There had been a backlog of recently-lauched iPhone 5S phones but Cook is confident the company would catch up to the "very robust" demands.
Do you think Apple is doing as well as they say or is it just hype? What do you think of the new iPad Air?
