'Arrow' Season 5 News: Nothing Going To Get Any Better For Oliver Queen? [TRAILER]

Fans of the DCEU were delighted when The CW kick-started a whole slew of television adaptations of their favorite superheroes, including "Arrow," which co-exists within a timeline known as the "Arrowverse."

The past seasons of the show saw the protagonist, Oliver Queen, go through a lot of challenges along his way. Based on the trailer for the upcoming season, however, it looks like things won't get any better for the hero. But the good news is that he will no longer have to fight iconic villains like Prometheus and Tobias Church all by himself.

In the recent promo for the new season, Queen is shown assembling a new team. A recent TV spot offers a sneak peek at "Team 2.0," which includes the show's new and developing characters, as well as gives viewers a taste of the show's signature dynamic.

The new team additions to join Queen's "band of merry men" include Mr. Terrific, Artemis, and Wild Dog a.k.a. Curtis Holt. The promo shows shots of the new team both at the headquarters and in action, which are intercut with flashes of Queen while taking down some henchmen.

Meanwhile, Deathstroke will be back in some form or another for the upcoming season. However, it remains to be seen which incarnation of Deathstroke will show up in season 5. Some speculate that Deathstroke could be just a hallucination or a dream of Oliver in the new season, since it has not been confirmed that Manu Bennett will be back to reprise the role as Slade.

"Arrow" season 5 premieres on October 5 on The CW. Watch "Arrow" season 5 trailer below.
