'Arsenal' News Update: Trailer Features Nicolas Cage's Character As The Protagonists' Major Distraction
The newly released trailer for "Arsenal" focuses on two brothers who fight a lot, risk everything for each other, and find redemption.
While the trailer looks rather generic, the appearance of Nicolas Cage proves that there is more to the film than what meets the eye. Based on the trailer, Cage's character will serve as the major distraction for the two brothers.
Known for starring in the HBO series "Entourage," Adrien Grenier will play the role of one of the brothers, alongside Johnathon Schaech. In the series, they get caught up in the wild antics of a ruthless crime boss, played by Nicolas Cage. The actor will reprise his character from the 1993 film "Deadfall," directed by Christopher Coppola.
"Arsenal" serves as a sequel to "Deadfall," as confirmed by director Steven C. Miller. According to reports, Coppola will also appear in the film alongside Lydia Hull, Megan Leonard, Christopher Rob Bowen, Tyler Jon Olson and Shea Buckner. The film will also see the reunion of Nicolas Cage and Jon Cusack, who starred in "Frozen round" together in 2013.
Here is the synopsis for "Arsenal:"
"A powerful action thriller, Arsenal tells the intertwining stories of the Lindel brothers, Mikey and JP, who had only each other to rely on growing up. As adults, JP found success as the owner of a construction company, while Mikey became a small-time mobster, mired in a life of petty crime. When Mikey is kidnapped and held for a ransom by ruthless crime boss Eddie King, JP turns to the brothers' old pal Sal, a plain clothes detective for help. In order to rescue his brother, JP must risk everything and unleash his vengeance against King's relentless army of gangsters."
"Arsenal" hits theaters on January 6, 2017.
