Singer and actress Ashlee Simpson announced her engagement to Evan Ross, the 25-year-old son of Diana Ross, on Twitter Monday.

"The love of my life said YES!!!!!" Ross tweeted. The actor starred in TV shows such as "90210" and the movie "ATL." The young star included a snapshot of him with his new fiancée embracing one another.

On her own Twitter account, Simpson heartily shared the news of the engagement as well. "My baby love and I are ENGAGED!!! Hallelujah Hawaii !!!!!" she tweeted.

E! News has confirmed that Neil Lane collaborated with Ross to design the engagement ring.

"It is a marquise-cut diamond ring in platinum and gold, accented with rubies," a rep for Lane shared.

Rubies are the same gems that are featured on older sister Jessica Simpson's engagement ring, which was also designed by Lane. The other Simpson is scheduled to wed in the near future.

This will be the singer's second marriage as she was previously wed to Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz, with whom she has a 5-year-old son, Bronx Mowgli. Simpson filed for divorce from Wentz, citing irreconcilable differences.

The newly engaged pair reportedly began dating back in June, after meeting around town in Hollywood. They made their debut as a couple in July at the launch of Jessica Simpsons Fall 2013 collection.

In November 2013, at the "Hunger Games: Catching Fire" premiere, Ross called Simpson "the one" during an interview. "It's amazing. I'm so in love and we've got amazing things going on. And we inspire each other."
