‘Assassin's Creed' Release Date News & Rumors: Next Location Confirmed In Leak?
News on the "Assassin's Creed" just got a buzz when an image was leaked that allegedly gives major hint on the next location of the game.
The screenshot was published on Daily Star which showed what look like a rendering of a pyramid.
This coincides with the previous news reports and rumors that the next location for the "Assassin's Cree" will be set in ancient Egypt. After last year's "Syndicate," this new game is codenamed "Empire."
The report also quoted an alleged source who claimed that the main hero in "Assassin's Creed" would be a former slave who really doesn't speak a lot. He will also have a pet eagle, which the player an also control in the game.
In other news, there were reports that the "Assassin's Creed" would be released next year, although Tommy François, Ubisoft VP of Editorial, doubted that a 2017 release date would be feasible.
"I'll tell you what, we believe Alpha for these games needs to be one year before release. We're trying to achieve that," he said, adding that he doesn't even know that he has the authority to reveal that nugget of information.
"This is the goal we're going for: Alpha one year before, more quality, more polish," he explained. "So if this means biting the [bullet] and not having an Assassin's game, or a Far Cry [in 2017], f**k it."
Whether or not the release date of "Assassin's Creed" would be in 2017, we will report it here as well as other news and rumors on the highly anticipated game.
