Atlanta-Rapper J. Monty Releases New Music Video For "Seven Nights;" On Tour With Derek Minor, Canon
Atlanta-based rapper and recording artist J. Monty on Friday released the official music video for his first single, "Seven Nights," which released last month on Essential Sound and can be viewed at the end of this article. "Seven Nights," which was co-written by Monty and Ki'shon Furlow, emphasizes the importance of finding the silver lining in the midst of the grind.
Just a week prior to Friday's release, Monty released his second single," 21 Gold St.," which was co-written and features guest vocals by RCA Inspiration artist and The Voice finalist Koryn Hawthorne. The inspiring single is a metaphor for Revelation 21:21; "And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass." Both "Seven Nights" and "21 Gold St." were produced by Monty's uncle, Vikaden, for NARCOTICS Music Group.
In addition to the release of new music, with more released scheduled this fall, J. Monty recently performed at the A3C Festival "We Are Rebels" showcase in Atlanta, and continues to tour with Derek Minor, Canon, Byron Juane, and Steven Malcolm on the "It's Not A Game Tour." The three-month tour currently has dates scheduled for cities including Richmond, Va.; St. Louis, Mo.; San Antonio, Texas; Los Angeles, Calif.; and more. J. Monty released his first project, Level 54, in 2015 and in the same year released his second album, Second Born. Second Born is a personal highlight for Monty, who says it gave him the motivation to keep making faith-based music, and also featured the six-minute viral track "100 Bars Pt. 3."
Both singles are available for streaming and download everywhere now, with links to "Seven Nights" here, and links to "21 Gold St." here.
