'Attack On Titan' Season 2 Release Date, Spoilers: Second Season To Cover 'Clash of Titans' And 'Uprising'

The highly anticipated "Attack on Titan" season 2 will not air until next year but tons of exciting details about its return continue to make the rounds online.

The first season of the anime series managed to cover the first four arcs of the manga, totaling 36 chapters squeezed into 25 episodes. According to reports, "Clash of the Titans" and "Uprising," the next two story arcs in the manga, might be enough to cover the entire season 2 since they collectively have 36 chapters as well.

Fans of the manga know for a fact that there is an ongoing story arc titled "Return to Shiganshina," which introduces mind-boggling revelations. The revelations included in the latest chapters of the manga are so big that they can change the direction of the anime.

While it remains unknown if the said arc will be covered by the upcoming season, there are a lot of exciting things that viewers of the series can expect from "Clash of the Titans" and "Uprising."

The plot of "Clash of the Titans" involves a breach in Wall Rose, allowing a group of Titans to penetrate the city inside the walls. The arc also follows the 104th Training Corps as they brace up for a bloody battle against the Titans.

On the other hand, "Uprising" involves the kidnapping of Historia and Eren and follows Erwin as he gears up to overthrow the government.

The two story arcs are said to suffice to cover "Attack on Titan" season 2, but as of this writing there is no official word yet from the creators of the series if season 2 will be exclusively dedicated to both arcs.

"Attack on Titan" season 2 is expected to premiere sometime next year.
