Author Patrice Gopo Releases New Book "All The Colors We Will See," Tackling Racial Justice, Immigration
Author and essayist Patrice Gopo on Tuesday released her latest book, "All The Colors We Will See." The new book is the writer's debut on W Publishing, an imprint of Thomas Nelson.
In "All The Colors We Will See," Gopo offers readers a way to understand our differences and extends ways to connect. Through personal stories, shared memories, and honest experiences, she provides a deep look into the search for identity and belonging.
A poignant, poetic, and at times courageous collection of personal essays, "All The Colors We Will See," delves into the current state of our culture that is grappling with the realities of racial injustice, an explosion of immigration issues, and invites readers to join her as she searches for her identity and encourages others to find what truly unites us.
The new book has been picked by book retailer Barnes and Noble for their Discover Great New Writers program for the Fall of 2018. "All The Colors We Will See" was selected from hundreds of submissions across all genres and was one of only twelve chosen. As part of the program, the book will be available for 20% off on barnesandnoble.com, the B&N app, and in stores.
Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, Gopo says she grew up as a black American but that her Jamaican parents had little experience in what it means to be black in America. Feelings of being different are occasional for some, but for Gopo it was part of everyday life.
While dealing with the mixture of identities that swirled around her and formed her journey, Gopo examines the complexities of identity formation in our modern world, where cultures intersect and overlap as she weaves together rich details and thoughtful commentary to create a layered collection of essays.
"All The Colors We Will See" is available for purchase now at Barnes and Noble and Amazon.com.
