Battlefield 4 AMD Mantle Patch Delayed Until DICE Resumes Game Updates, '45% Faster Than DIRECTX'
Battlefield 4 Mantle update patch for AMD has been delayed until further notice.
"After much consideration, the decision was made to delay the Mantle patch for Battlefield 4. AMD continues to support DICE on the public introduction of Mantle, and we are tremendously excited about the coming release for Battlefield 4! We are now targeting a January release and will have more information to share in the New Year," n AMD representative said to Polygon.
That same source said their decision to stop working on the patch was due to DICE announcing they would halt all work on the game's expansions until it was running and operating smoothly.
According to leaked images of AMD, Mantle is boasting that their patch makes the game 45 percent faster than DIRECTX.

Battlefield 4 was most recently facing online connectivity problems as EA and DICE were scrambling to figure out what was wrong with the game this time around as frustrated gamers have been suffering through glitches, errors, and server problems since launch.
"We are continuing to monitor some intermittent connectivity issues affecting some players across various platforms. Thank you for your patience. We will update this with further information as available," the update to Battlelog read.
The newest connectivity issues were not related to the glitches and errors that had constantly been occurring during the game already. DICE have released several updates and packs to fix the game since November.
Battlefield 4 was released on Oct. 29 for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, the PS4 on Nov. 15, and the Xbox One on Nov. 22. Each of these versions have experienced there fair share of problems.
