Battlefield 4 DLC: Naval Strike Releases in March, Features Carrier Assault Mode and Hovercrafts

DICE announced that Battlefield 4 will be getting a new DLC called Naval Strike at the end of March.

The expansion pack will bring the game to the South China Sea with new multiplayer maps and a hovercraft vehicles, according to IGN. A new mode called Carrier Assault will be introduced to the game and is essentially a remake of Titan Mode from 2006's Battlefield 2142.

"Battlefield 4 Naval Strike takes the dramatic water-based combat introduced in Battlefield 4 to four all-new maps set in the South China Sea. Take control over new weapons and gadgets, pilot the new hovercraft vehicle, and experience the Carrier Assault game mode in this intense expansion pack. Read on for details and the first official screenshots.," wrote DICE on the Battlefield blog.

Details of Carrier Assault are minimal now, but the classic version of the game focused on controlling anti-Titan missile silos.

"Battlefield 4 Naval Strike lets you re-live the classic Titan Mode of Battlefield 2142, with the introduction of the Carrier Assault game mode. Stay tuned to the Battlefield Blog for more details on this re-imagining of a classic," posted the blog.

Battlefield 4's Platoon feature launched last week, and now gamers can meet up and coordinate much easier through the use of BattleLog.

The main features of Platoon are listed below:
