'Better Call Saul' Details: 'Breaking Bad' Spin Off May Be A, "Prequel...Sequel or Both," Says Bob Odenkirk.

Capitalizing on the massive success of AMC original series, Breaking Bad, the network is planning a spinoff called Bette Call Saul, focusing on the show's one bit of comic relief, Saul Goodman.

Bob Odenkirk might not be the only Breaking Bad actor featured in the new series. According to an earlier report from The Hollywood Reporter, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul have already been on record saying they'd love to play a part, big or small.

Show creator Vince Gilligan says some familiar faces might appear throughout the new spinoff. "Personally, I'd have a hard time resisting putting all these guys in for a cameo or two every now and then."

Writer Peter Gould has already begun the research phase of the new show. In an interview with Yahoo TV, Gould says he disagrees with fans doubtful Odenkirk's character could have their own show.

"I think we started realizing that this was a character, and Bob was certainly a guy, who could carry a TV show," Gould noted.

As for the research portion, Gould has been observing courtroom behavior first-hand.

"I've been hanging around in courtrooms lately, and it's not as broad as I thought originally. He dresses in a ridiculous way, he's got billboards, he's got ridiculous ads, but he is a shrewd customer."

As for the timeline, nothing has been confirmed.

"Maybe it's a prequel, maybe it's a sequel, maybe it's both... we'll see!" Odenkirk recently revealed Access Hollywood.
