Beyoncé's New Album Falls Far and Away From God's Image of True Beauty
Beyoncé's newly released self-titled album is full of strong perverse sexual imagery that sways far from the conventions of God's beautiful imagery for a woman. One of the songs that did not make the cut, but was recently released is called, "God Made You Beautiful," which in a way contradicts the message of her music.
Beyoncé has never shied away from mentioning God throughout the years. Early on with Destiny's Child, she was known to occasionally sing a few gospel numbers. Since the five time Grammy Award winning singer parted ways with the trio, the intensity of her Jesus-focused songs has slowed down dramatically.
In the autobiographical television film, "Life Is But a Dream," Beyoncé talks about God. She states that she is a result of her grandma's prayers.
"God is real, and God lives inside of me...Right now I'm hot. It's a tingling. It's love. I feel it when I look at my child. I feel it when I look at my husband. It's God," she said.
With all the success and fame Beyoncé has definitely evolved from the innocent teenager singing about Jesus and break ups. She has since birthed an alter ego named Sasha Fierce.
She tells BET Presents, "She can do things that I know, I can't... I remember right before I performed, I raised my hands and it was the first time I felt something else coming over me."
Since the coming out of Sasha Fierce, Beyoncé's sex driven, fearless alter-ego; the only time you hear the singer talk about God is when she is referring to her very successful hip-hop artist husband Jay Z, and one-year-old child, Blue Ivy.
One of her new tracks is, "God Made You Beautiful," which is dedicated to her daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
"Thank God for giving me a life,? You're beautiful,? God made you beautiful," is a lyric from the song.
It is a wonder if Beyoncé feels that same way about herself? If God made you beautiful, is there need for an influential sex driven alternate persona to take over your body and make you do things that you yourself cannot do?
Just in time for the holidays, Beyoncé shocked the world by releasing this surprise "exclusive visual album." The emotional cut, "God Made You Beautiful" was not on the album. The only two songs that had Godly language are the songs "Angel" and "Heaven," and neither had anything to do with God. Rather are about earthly angels and someone who died and went to heaven.
The visual album is highly cautioned for mature content. The videos have a lot sexual innuendos and disturbing imagery. God makes beautiful things. Beyoncé, we would like to see more of that.
