Billy Graham's Powerful Last Sermon Delivered, [LIVE VIDEO] "The Cross" Broadcasting of Billy Graham's Message to the Nation
The Evangelist Billy Graham delivered his supposed last sermon to America thursday night through a special video broadcasting called "The Cross". In the sermon, Graham expressed how bad our world needs a spiritual awakening, and that he has literally wept at the fact that the we as a nation, have moved very far from the presence of God. The video which is available online and through multiple boradcasting networks, was released yesterday on Graham's 95th birthday. "I want to tell people about the meaning of the cross ... the real cross of Christ," a passionate Graham proclaimed in the video. "I know that many will react to this message, but it is the truth and with all my heart, I want to leave you with the truth." During the sermon, Graham obviously expressed his concern for our nation, but also expressed that more people need to know Jesus and accept him as the Lord, and Savior. The pre-recorded message was filled with strong and inspirational messages from Grahams past sermons, and multiple personal testimonies from musicians such as Lacey Sturm and Lecrae Moore.
Billy Graham exlained that for people to confess their sins, they have to be true with themselves. Meaning, believers must embrace a new lifestyle, a lifestyle that directly confronts the sin of nature. "People don't want to hear that they're sinners. To many people it's an offense," Graham proclaimed. "The cross is offensive, because it directly confronts the evils that dominate so much of this world". The sermon also covered how sinners and Christians can renew their faith, as well as, how each person can make a change in their city. It was a very prominient feeling that Graham was worried about our cities and towns, as he spoke about how it was obvious by looking at culture, and economy that we are not a God fearing nation. "There've been times I've wept as I've gone city to city and I've seen how far people have wandered from God," he told viewers. At the end of Billy Graham's last sermon, he asked for those who did not believe, or for those who needed forgiveness to come to the alter and aceept Jesus Christ as their Savior. "Today, I'm asking you to put your trust in Christ," he said, citing a prayer that would hopefully invite prospective believers into the faith.
