BlackBerry DTEK60 Release Date News & Specs: When Will It Roll Out?

The release date for the BlackBerry DTEK60 could be announced soon as the mobile phone was already filed before the FCC, the latest news reports claimed.

According to The Verge, the rumors are saying that BlackBerry is planning to release two Android phones in the next six months. The DTEK60 could be among those mobile devices.

The specs the BlackBerry DTEK60 were also leaked in various news reports. Apparently, the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, and will have a 5.5-inch QHD screen display.

There's no confirmation on the internal storage but reports are claiming that it will have a 4 GB of RAM, while there are also reports of 32 GB storage. As to the camera, the main snapper will have 21 MP while the front-facing cam will feature 8 MP. Just like any high-end smart phone in the market today, it will have a fingerprint sensor.

It will also have a 3,000mAh battery, which is impressive for this kind of phone.

Meanwhile, according to the news and rumors, the BlackBerry DTEK60 won't have a physical keyboard, which means that it won't be following the Mercury model or the Priv form factor. For now, however, there's scarce information on the design of the new BlackBerry phone.

In related news, the BlackBerry DTEK60 reportedly looks like the Alcatel Idol 4S, which means that it won't be mindblowing in terms of the design and the company is looking at functionality rather than aesthetics.

The DTEK50, which was released recently, looks like the Alcatel Idol 4 and it seems like BlackBerry is fine with that.
