BlackBerry DTEK60 Release Date News, Price, Specs: BlackBerry Is Most Secure Smartphone Ever?
The BlackBerry DTEK60 release date was announced on Oct. 25 and people can already order the device online. Here we look again on the price and specs to help any potential customers looking at this for their next smart phone.
This smart phone is billed to have more security features through its Hardware Root of Trust technique, which Blackberry says will prevent somebody to spoof or counterfeit it. There's also the secure bootloader to prevent the Android OS from being tampered.
The BlackBerry DTEK60 will come with Android Marshmallow out of the box on the release date. There's no word yet on when it will upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat.
The specs for the BlackBerry DTEK60 are as follows:
- 1.6 GHz + 2.15 GHz Snapdragon 820 dual-core CPUs
- 32GB storage capacity with 4GB of RAM
- Up to 2TB support through microSD
- 5.5"³ AMOLED touchscreen display with QHD 2560 x 1440 resolution
- BlackBerry Convenience Key
- 21 MP rear camera and front camera of 8 MP
- Fingerprint sensor
- 3000mAh battery
The specs of the BlackBerry DTEK60 put it right up there with the high end smart phones in the market. Unfortunately for those waxing nostalgic about the old BlackBerry, the DTEK60 features no keyboards, however.
As of the release date, the Blackberry DTEK60 price was pegged at $499.99, which already includes a soft shell case and travel charger if you order on or before Nov. 8. You can order now in US, Canada, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands and The UK. It's also coming to the other markets before the end of the year.
