The season 4 premiere of "Blue Bloods" will shock audiences at the beginning and will remind them of everything they love about the NYPD at the end. Spoilers indicate that in the first scenes of the season 4 premiere, there will be bloodshed. A new officer who is assigned to be Jamie Reagan's partner is shot and killed by a suspect. The suspect is later released due to lack of evidence, which infuriates Danny Reagan. The official description of the episode was released by CBS. It says, "When an armed robbery ends with the death of a police officer, Frank makes it a mission for the NYPD to bring the suspect to justice. However, tensions run high in the Reagan household when Eric drops the charges and releases the suspects due to lack of evidence."

They said, "Danny and Jamie will both be challenged by their partners, and Danny will question his passion for the NYPD lifestyle. BeBe Neuwirth will be joining the cast as Kelly Peterson, the new inspector General of the department. Frank will also have to deal with her along with his other stress during the season 4 premiere of "Blue Bloods."
