Brandon Heath & Friends Raise More Than $16,000 At “Love Your Neighbor” Concert; Heath Featured At K-Love Awards

Award-winning singer/songwriter Brandon Heath wraps an eventful week, headlining another successful "Love Your Neighbor" benefit concert, while also participating in activities surrounding the first-ever K-LOVE Fan Awards.

Heath and renowned producer and songwriter Jason Ingram hosted their sixth annual "Love
Your Neighbor" benefit concert to a standing-room-only crowd at Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, Tenn. The locally-minded show raised more than $16,000 through audience donations for New Hope Academy, a privately-funded pre-Kindergarten thru sixth grade school in Franklin, Tenn., which exists to serve low-income families with free tuition for its classical education.

The free event featured intimate, one-of-a-kind performances from Heath, Ingram and special guests, including GRAMMY-winning artist tobyMac, American Idol alum Mandisa and GRAMMY-winning singer/songwriter Laura Story. In a songwriter-in-the-round style, Heath performed several songs including his hit "Jesus In Disguise," new single "Love Does" and Ingram performed OSS worship-anthem "Forever Reign." tobyMac performed favorites "Get Back Up" and "City On Our Knees" with Mandisa bringing everyone to their feet with her hits "Stronger" and "Good Morning."

Heath and Ingram created "Love Your Neighbor" in May 2008, and the annual event has now raised more than $156,000 for Nashville and surrounding area needs.
