Britney Spears Musical Tells The Story of Jesus Christ [More Details Inside]

I never thought I would see the day that Britney Spears music would be used to tell the story of Jesus Christ. Patrick Blute has created the musical, Spears: The Gospel According to Britney that tells the life and times of Jesus Christ through the use of Britney Spears' pop songs.

"Is it the greatest story ever told to the greatest music ever written?" Blute says in the promo for the musical. Songs "Stronger," "One More Time," and "Crazy" will be used in the narrative. Blute says that the musical won't be seedy and will be the perfect outing for churchgoers who love Britney Spears.

"It appeals to those from a religious background because it tells an essential story using fragments of pop culture in a non-offensive way," Blute explained.

The musical was originally stage in April of 2012 during Blute's alma mater, where it sold out. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
