The Brooklyn Nets (23-26) will face off against the Charlotte Bobcats (23-29) at the Barclays Center in New York City on Wednesday night.

The Nets are looking their fourth straight home victory versus the Bobcats to five tonight.

After previously only allowing 92.9 points per game and a 41.5 field-goal percentage during a seven-game winning streak in Brooklyn, The Nets have played horrible defense by allowing opponents to score 224 points on 55% shooting in back-to-back defeats in late January.

However, the Nets have played much better defense by permitting opponents to score an average of 90.3 points per game and a 42% in the field goal shooting percentage in three consecutive victories at the Barclays Center.

The Nets redeemed themselves following 111-95 loss against the Pistons in Detroit on Friday with one of their greatest defensive performances in a 93-81 home victory against the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday. They held the Pelicans to only 28 first-half points, their lowest total since permitting 28 versus the Los Angeles Lakers on Nov. 27, 2005.

Bobcats shot a season-best 54% in the field plus 12 for 24 from 3-point range in a 114-89 blowout victory to Dallas Mavericks yesterday.

"It was really important to get this one and go to Brooklyn and beat a seed ahead of us," said Bobcats Al Jefferson to reporter after scoring 30 points versus Mavericks yesterday.
