After a pretty good premiere last Tuesday on FOX, former SNL star Andy Samberg's new NYC cop comedy is poised to be one of America's breakout sitcoms this Fall season.

Created by Parks and Recreation writers and producers Dan Goor and Michael Schur have crafted a likeable comedy that the whole family can gather around to watch.

Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher are a likeable and quirky enough buddy-buddy who aren't as disappointing as they are a bit predictable.

Though the show isn't the next 30 Rock with layered story development and humor, the show does stand out on its own. In the 2013 Fall lineup shows like The Crazy Ones and The Michael J. Fox rely on somewhat outdated stars [Robin Williams, Fox] to keep viewers on the couch while shows like Mom and The Millers are just the same sitcom attempt at family dysfunction that usually alienates more than it attracts.

By fueling Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Samberg's charm rather than testosterone-laden new series' like Dads and We Are Men, the show has a certain amount of uniqueness that viewers might not pick up on at first.
