Bruce Springsteen to Release New 2014 Album, "High Hopes", This January
Grammy Award winning artist, Bruce Springsteen, just announced that he will be releasing a new album come January 2014. The album titled, High Hopes is a combination of song covers, recordings, old songs, and studio outakes from the past decade. "This is the music that I always felt needed to be released," stated Springsteen during an interview with Rolling Stones. The album was reportedly going to just strictly focus on songs from the past decade, but things changed when Springsteen and Rage Against the Machine guitarist, Tom Morello, had a jam sesssion and recorded High Hopes together. The song was once recorded with Springsteen and the E Street Band back in 1995, and was a huge hit across the nation.
" We worked it up in our Aussie rehearsals and Tom then proceeded to burn the house down with it..Tom and his guitar became my muse, pushing the rest of this project to another level," Bruce stated about the collaboration with Morello. High Hopes will be Bruce's old classic, along with outakes from album that were recorded when Springsteen reunited with the E Street Band. All songs on the new upcoming album were written by Bruce himself, and produced alongside Ron Aniello. Bruce Springsteen, E Street Band, and Tom Morello are all currently on tour playing shows in South Africa, Austrailia, and in New Zealand until early 2014. Again, the new album, High Hopes will be released on January 14, 2014. "High Hopes" music video is shown below.
