Bruno Mars booked to Perform at Pepsi Super Bowl Hafltime Show
The man who gave us "Locked Out of Heaven" and "Treasure" is scheduled to perform at the 2014 Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 2nd at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Bruno Mars is one of the best selling male artists of the last decade and will be appearing for the first time ever at the 48th Super Bowl. Bruno Mars tweeted "We're Going to the Super Bowl!!!!!! #PepsiSBHalftime"
Past Super Bowl Halftime Show performers include Madonna, Michael Jackson, Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce, Janet Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney and U2. The Super Bowl Halftime Show is the most-watched music event in the world clocking in at around 110.5 million viewers. Bruno Mars earned his spot on the list of superstars who have played the Super Bowl Halftime Show by getting five number one hits faster than any other male artist besides Elvis Presley.
Bruno Mars is currently on a 91-city world tour with his band The Hooligans in support of his new album Unorthodox Jukebox. The album was released in December of 2012 and has reached number 1 on the Official UK Albums Chart.
