'Burnout Paradise' Mods News: Developer Confirms Game Is In The Works

In line with Criterion Games' "Burnout Paradise," players is set to see the game's backward compatibility, as it is in the works.

On Sept. 21, the studio tweeted on its official social media account that its developers are still working on the game's backward compatibility. "Patience, Paradise fans! This work is continuing and we hope to have more BC news soon," as per the studio.

Previously, Criterion Games also announced that they were in talks with Microsoft about working on the game for the Xbox One, according to Video Gamer. As per the publication, the studio said "soon," as answer to queries concerning "Burnout Paradise's" backward compatibility. This remains as players' concerns, not to mention that the game has been developed since the studio announced about in in July 2015.

"Burnout Paradise" is not the only game to get its backward compatibility, Microsoft's Phil Spencer teased previously. On Sept. 20, he wrote on Twitter, "Just the order things come out of testing. We have some I've really been looking forward to coming soon." It was his response to Twitter user and gaming enthusiast Dude (@FoxHalo),who asked if there was a reason players were seeing less big name games via backwards compatibility.

As per reports, other games that are set to have their backward compatibility include "Skate 3," "BioShock" series, "Call of Duty," and "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," among others.

Developed by Criterion Games, "Burnout Paradise" was initially released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Microsoft Windows in 2008.
