‘Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3' Free On Steam: Game Free-To-Play Until Oct. 2, New Update Introduces Mod Tools

Along with details on new mod tools in Activision's "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," the game is set to be free on Steam this weekend, as per reports.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" becomes a free-to-play game until Oct. 2, at 1:00 p.m. PT, Game Spot has learned. As per the publication, this is in line with Steam's weekend sales, which are now available. It is added that players who want to continue playing the game on Oct. 3 onwards can have the shooter game at a discounted price

As per the report, players can get the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3"at $30 until Oct. 3 at 10:00 a.m. PT. Along the game, players can also get other discounted games like "Doom," "The Division," and "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." They can also obtain Steam hardware accessories for a cheaper price. Examples are the Steam Controller and Link skins, which can be purchased at $7 each.

The "Call of Duty" promo follows the introduction of the mod tools to the game via a beta. According to PC Gamer, the update, called Update 15.1, marks the first time mod tools have been added to the game.

As per Steam Community, players can now install the mod tools through their Steam Library's Tool Section, where they can see "Call of Duty: Black ops 3 - Mod Tools." As per the publication, the update includes "Black Ops 3" Steam Workshop, Unranked Server Browser, Radiant Level Editor, Asset Property Editor, and Mod Tools Launcher, among others.
