Candace Cameron Bure on Acting: 'I'd Absolutely Play a Role as a Hooker if the Role Teaches a Lesson'
Candace Cameron Bure, most known for her role as DJ Tanner from hit 90s sitcom Full House, recently said, "I'd absolutely play a role as a hooker if the role teaches a lesson."
In her a recent interview with Fox News, Bure discussed her new book "Balancing It All: My Story of Juggling Priorities and Purpose."
The 36-year-old star candidly opened up with FOX411 about how she selects the roles she takes on.
When asked if she would ever play the role of a hooker, ?Bure responded, "It really depends on the story because I am an actress. I can't say I would never play a hooker. It would depend on the story."
"Is there something redeeming about the character or within the story? Is something going to be taught? If the answer is yes, then absolutely I'll play a hooker," she added.
Bure has been known to turn down roles in the past due to the content material, in an interview with Christian Post she said being a Christian plays a major part in all the projects she chooses to be a part of.
"I want to honor Christ in all that I do, and that's why it's important to stay in the family friendly role of television and movies" she said.
Bure is now all grown up and has been in the acting industry for 30 years. A wife, mother of three, a working actress, and a Christian, Bure said she did it all with the help of her family, friends, and faith.
The actress is sister to actor Kurt Cameron. She credits her wholesome upbringing to why she was not another child star gone astray. In her new book she speaks about how faith guides her through her busy life.
